Black House Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

BLACK HOUSE LANE, BRIERCLIFFE LANE, BURNLEY BURNLEY BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any class of vehicle to proceed over that length of Black House Lane, Burnley from Halifax Road for a distance of 816 metres in a Southerly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours from Wednesday 6th November 2024 to Monday 18th November 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. The prohibitions will only be operative when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is not possible owing to Black House Lane, Briercliffe being a no through road.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out on behalf of Lancashire County Council
