Temporary Closure And Restriction Of Various Roads
(Charlton Kings Ward) Cheltenham Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below (“the Roads”)

There will be no waiting permitted of vehicles throughout the duration of the intended works.
The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for Carriageway Resurfacing.

The Roads are expected to be closed and restricted during various times on a rolling programme, commencing from 26th October 2024 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This intended Order will permit the closure and restriction of the Roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by the 3rd November 2024.

Temporary Traffic Order A430 Kingsholm Road/Worcester Street And
480536 Worcester Parade (Kingsholm And Wotton Ward) (Gloucester City)

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and/or restrict and suspend existing restrictions in respect of the lengths of roads (“the Roads”) as described in the Schedule below. Other roads in the Kingsholm area of Gloucester may be affected at the discretion of the police.

There shall be no parking and no waiting throughout the duration of the matches and events. 

The reason for the above closures/restriction and suspension is to facilitate the safe movement and dispersal of crowds before, during and after matches and events at Kingsholm Rugby Ground. 

In order to facilitate the above, it will be necessary to suspend “Council of the City of Gloucester (Worcester Parade) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2003” for the duration of the Worcester Street closure.

The Roads are expected to be closed and restricted on dates between 11th November 2024 and 10th May 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure/restriction is in force. For normal matches and events Kingsholm Road will be closed for a maximum of 1 hour after the event to allow for the safe egress of fans. Further advanced warning of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure/restriction taking effect. Temporary Speed Restriction A435 Evesham Road (Prestbury Parish)
Cheltenham Borough

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to restrict temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the A435 Evesham Road to a speed limit of 30mph from its junction with Evesham Road roundabout adjacent to B4075 to the junction on the corner of Cheltenham Tigers Rugby Club for a distance of approximately 308 metres.

The Road falls within the Parish of Prestbury in the Cheltenham Borough and the County of Gloucestershire.

The speed restriction is necessary for public safety due to a large landslip.

The road was originally restricted to 30mph by Emergency Notice commencing 8th October 2024. However, works to remedy the landslip are still ongoing, it is therefore necessary to extend the restriction by Order commencing 29th October 2024. This Order can authorise the restriction for up to eighteen months from 8th October 2024 being the date of the original Notice.
