What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH KN6 – HARDINGSTONE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by West Northamptonshire Council on 26th October 2023 and which came into effect on 29th October 2023 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 29th April 2025 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said footpath is unaffected.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for health and safety during ongoing construction works.

SCHEDULE

(Length of footpath to be closed)

The existing route KN6 to be closed begins at National Grid Reference (‘NGR’) SP7673 5776. The route travels generally south east for approximately 1064 metres to point B at NGR SP7735 5702. The route is shown by a solid black line between points A – B.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route starts at point A at NGR SP7673 5776. The route travels generally south along the highway footway of The Warren for approximately 494 metres to point C at NGR SP7669 5727. The route then heads east along the highway footway of Newport Pagnell Road, crossing Landimore Road, and continuing for a total distance of approximately 728 metres to point B at NGR SP7735 5702.

The route is shown by a broken black line between points A – C – B.
