ST. HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) - SECTION 14(1) THE COONCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (SCHOOL LANE, HAINHILL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along School Lane between Chapel Lane and Bell Lane, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 13th January, 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be two weeks.

The alternative route will be via Bell Lane, B5419 Jubits Lane, Forest Road, Walkers Lane, Chapel Lane and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate works to the water main in the carriageway.
