What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF HALTON (REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY PARADES) (VARIOUS ROADS HALE VILLAGE & RUNCORN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OR RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to a special Event being held, Halton Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, the above named temporary Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.

Road(s) affected:

Road / Footpath Time
High Street, Church End & Church Road, Hale 10:00 - 12:00
Fox Street & Greenway Road, Runcorn 14:00 - 16:00

Reason for making the Order: the Council is satisfied that the Order is needed to facilitate the holding of an Event known as the Remembrance Sunday Parades.

Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the road and no person shall during the works period enter or proceed in or along the road. (Access to properties adjoining the highways specified above will not be affected by the Order).

Alternative Routes: where available suitably signed alternative route(s) will be provided.

Date Order to come into effect: 10 November 2024

Maximum duration of the Order: 3 days from the date from the date the Order comes into effect.

Note: whilst the Order is in operation, traffic, including bicycle and pedestrian movement along the highways specified above will be temporarily restricted (except for emergency access).
