(Slaugham: Pease Pottage) (Brighton Road)
(Temporary 30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a 30 MPH Speed Limit on Brighton Road in the parish of Slaugham, from its junction with Horsham Road, southwards to the entrance to Scania Gatwick.
The extension of this speed limit is needed to maintain safety while temporary traffic lights are used to control traffic during the installation of new telecommunications cables.
The Order will come into effect on 13 November 2024 and remain in force until 28 November 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(East Grinstead: Controlled Parking Zone Amendment) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact to recently installed amendments to parking restrictions on roads in The East Grinstead Controlled Parking Zone as follows: WEST HILL: to prohibit waiting at any time on a length of the northern side of the road on which a single yellow line was previously installed, FAIRFIELD ROAD: to enact a new parking bay for permit holders 9am to 5pm Mon to Sat except bank holidays on the western side of the road, CANETELUPE ROAD to permit permit holders to use a pay & display bay on the eastern side of the road, RAILWAY APPROACH: to prohibit waiting at any time on a length of the southern side of the road in which a parking bay was previously installed.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 28 October 2024, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 24 October 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose. (Hurstpierpoint: Cuckfield Road and
Various Roads Amendment) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact recently installed parking restrictions in Hurstpierpoint as follows: To prohibit waiting at any time at the junctions of Cuckfield Road with Marchants Road, Fairfield Crescent, Manor Road, Western Road and Iden Hurst, on various lengths of Brighton Road, on lengths of Reeds Lane at its junction with London Road and on lengths of Pitt Lane; and
To enact a new formalised bus stop clearway applying 7am to 7pm on the north side of High Street immediately east of its junction with Brighton Road, to enact the revised timing of the restriction on the loading bay on the southern side of High Street west of its junction with Pitts Lane, to introduce a short length of restriction prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading on the southern side of High Street immediately west of its junction with Pitts Lane and to amend the length of various waiting restrictions on South Avenue.

(Mid Sussex District: Various Roads)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20 mph speed limit throughout the whole length of the following roads in Mid Sussex:
ANSTY & STAPLEFIELD: Cuckfield Road, BURGESS HILL: Janes
Lane, COWFOLD: Station Road, HAYWARDS HEATH: Market Place, HURSTPIERPOINT & SAYERS COMMON: Chalkers Lane, LINDFIELD RURAL: Church Road, WORTH: Copthorne Way.
These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.
The Order will come into effect on 28 October 2024 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
