M25 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 3)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.

The effect of the Order is to:-

1. authorise the overnight closure of the west quadrant of the roundabout between the slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A20 and the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A20.

2. authorise the 24-hour closure of the slip road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 3 (M20 Junction 1/A20).

3. impose a 24-hour 40mph speed restriction on –

(a) the roundabout at M25 Junction 3 (M20 Junction 1/A20); and

(b) the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the M20 at Junction 1, between a point 200 metres east of the roundabout and the roundabout.

4. impose a 24-hour vehicle width restriction of 2.75 metres on the roundabout at M25 Junction 3 (M20 Junction 1/A20).

These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge, carriageway, concrete repairs and all associated works.

It is expected that the work will last for approximately 6 months starting on or after Wednesday 6th November 2024. The overnight closures will take place between 21:00 and 05:30 (maximum periods).

Please consult National Highways website for further details.

The Order will come into force on 4th November 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.

Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted via other junctions of the M25, M20 and the A20 or by using the A224, A25 and the A225. Oversized vehicles unable to use the roundabout will be informed of appropriate diversion routes.

The temporary speed limits, narrow lane, closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
