CAMBRIDGESHIRE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC multiple notices

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Dock Road, Chatteris (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1515
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Dock Road, Chatteris as lies between Lode Way and High Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lode Way – Gull Way – Furrowfields Road – High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate patching and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 16:15hrs 19 November to 20 November 2024.

Eastrea Road (A605), Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1521
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Eastrea Road (A605), Whittlesey as lies between Cemetery Road and Guildenberg Roundabout. The alternative route for vehicles is via A605 – A141 – A47 – A1139 – A605 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 November and 15 November 2024.

Laddus Drove, Fridaybridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1539
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Laddus Drove, Fridaybridge as lies between Needham Hall Farm and Elm Footpath 14, Elm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Needham Bank – The Cottons, Outwell – Pius Drove, Upwell – A1101 – Town Street – New Bridge – March Riverside – March
Riverside (C36) and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 6 November 2024.

Fen Road, Parson Drove (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 24-1542
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Road, Parson Drove as lies between B1187 and Long Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Long Drove – Black Drove, Murrow – A47 – B1187 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on
11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 15 November 2024.

Decoy Road, Gorefield (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1545
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Decoy Road, Gorefield as lies between Lausanne and Turnover Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via High Road – Gorefield Road, Leverington – Church Road – B1169 – B1166 – Marshalls Bank, Parson Drove – Harolds Bank – Harolds Bank, Gorefield – Honeyhill Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November 2024 and 5 November 2024.

Hook Road, Wimblington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1554
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hook Road, Wimblington as lies
between Hook Lane and Eastwood End. The alternative route for vehicles is via Horsemoor Road – Colseed Road, March – B1099 – B1101 – A141 – Eastwood End, Wimblington and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate culvert replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 November and 29 November 2024.

Upwell Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1558
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Upwell Road, March as lies between Binnimoor Road and the B1098. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1098 – B1093 – A141 – B1101 – B1099 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 20 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs 20 November and 04:00hrs 21 November 2024.

Church Street, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1568
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Whittlesey as lies
between A605 and Barrs Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via A605 – B1095 – B1040 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 November 2024 and 29 November 2024.

Station Road, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1570
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Whittlesey as lies
between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as
measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – A605 – B1040 – Oilmills Road, Pondersbridge – Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside – Wells Bridge – Wells Bridge, Ramsey Forty Foot – B1096 – B1093 and vice versa.  The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 November and 3 November 2024.

Alexandra Road and Post Office Lane, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1609
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Alexandra Road and Post Office Lane, Wisbech as lies between Kings Road and South Brink; Alexandra Road and Bridge Road respectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via B198 – Coalwharf Road – Somers Road – Queens Road – Kings Road and vice versa. Or via bridge Road – B198 – Coalwharf Road – Somers Road – Queens Road – Kings Road – Alexandra Road and vice versa. Or via B198 – Coalwharf Road – Somers Road – Queens Road – Kings Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 29 November 2024.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
