Juniper to Hexham, Northumberland - Temporary Road Closure due to Resurfacing Works

C278 JUNIPER TO HEXHAM, HEXHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C278 Juniper to Hexham from its junction with C282 heading eastwards and then southwards for a distance of 1020 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 14th November 2024 until the 14th January 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th November 2024 until the 16th November 2024, weekday working between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. Saturday working between the hours of 08:00 and 13:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U8296, C282 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council’s Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name). – Ref:140638885
The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
