U3148 THE MALTINGS ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footways in Alnwick in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st November 2024 until the 24th December 2024.
U3148 The Maltings from its junction with U3148 King Street Back Lane the Maltings heading eastwards for a distance of 19 metres.
U3148 The Maltings from its junction with Green Batt heading southwards and then eastwards for a distance of 52 metres.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via the Green Batt, Howick Street, Lisburn Street, U3148 King Street Back Lane The Maltings and vice-versa.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 1st November 2024 until the 4th November 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 24th December 2024.

The closure has been requested by Avonline Networks to install a micro-duct for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
