ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BRIDGE STREET, BROADLEYS AND MARKET STREET, CLAY CROSS) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be, in respects of roads in Clay Cross in the District of North East Derbyshire is as follows:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME BY VEHICLES (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING) ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Market Street
South side
From its junction with Broadleys, in a westerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
Broadleys
East side
From its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 23 metres.
From a point 47 metres south of its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
From a point 80 metres south of its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres.
TO RESTRICT WAITING BY VEHICLES 8AM TO 6PM ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Market Street
South Side
From a point 44 metres east of its junction with Bridge Street, in an easterly direction for a distance of 86 metres.
TO LIMIT WAITING BY VEHICLES 9AM TO 6PM FOR 1 HOUR WITH NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Broadleys
From a point 23 metres south of its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
From a point 71 metres south of its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 9 metres.
From a point 86 metres south of its junction with Market Street, in a southerly direction for a distance of 17 metres.
TO RESTRICT LOADING ONLY ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Bridge Street
West side
From its junction with Market Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 17 metres.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge will also apply.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made and at Clay Cross Library, Kenning Park, Holmgate Road, S45 9PH during opening hours.
All objections and other representations to the proposal must (a) be made in writing (b) state the grounds on which they are made (c) provide a name and address for contact purposes (d) be sent to the Executive Director – Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team quoting reference Z3403) or email place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk by Friday 15th November 2024.
