  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate essential tree maintenance works on the roads detailed in Schedules 1 and 2 to this notice, the Council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Enfield (Various Streets) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) (No. 1) Order 2024 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

  2. The effect of the Order would be to temporarily:

    (i) prohibit traffic from waiting and loading between 8am and 4pm in the streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice, as and when directed by traffic signs; and

    (ii) prohibit traffic from entering or proceeding between 8am and 4pm in the streets specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this Notice, as and when directed by traffic signs, on the dates specified in column 2 of Schedule 2 to this Notice. Whilst the road closures are in force, the alternative routes for diverted vehicles would be as specified in column 3 of Schedule 2 to this Notice. Access would be maintained for residents only as far as the works allow.

  3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply to vehicles works or, if the works allow, to police or emergency service vehicles.
