What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C953 LINSTEAD PARVA ROAD, CHEDISTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C953 Linstead Parva Road, Chediston from the junction with Chediston Green for 100 metres southbound to facilitate connecting a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1123. the A144, Wissett Road, Halesworth Road, The Street, Nunn's Hill and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/10/2024 - 14/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Limited. Tel: 0330 043 3030.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1115 HIGH STREET AND B1113 HIGH STREET AND IPSWICH ROAD, BILDESTON, SPROUGHTON AND NEEDHAM MARKET
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1115 High Street, Bildeston from the junction with Chelsworth Road to the B1078 to facilitate road marking improvements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1141, the A1071, the B1113, the B1078 and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure then; will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1113 High Street, Sproughton from the roundabout with the A1071 to the junction with Lower Street and the B1113 Ipswich Road, Needham Market from the junction with Grinstead Hill to the junction with the B1078 It is intended that these measures will operate from 24/10/2024 -25/10/2024 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C466 CLAY HILL, HINTLESHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C466 Clay Hill, Hintlesham from 25 metres south of the junction with Duke Street for 330 metres southbound to facilitate replacing overhead electrical lines and poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Duke Street, the A1071, Washbrook Road, Pigeons Lane, Swan Hill, Chapel Lane, London Road Former A12, Elm Lane, Hollow Road, Chattisham Road, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 24/10/2024 from 10am to 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3808 RECTORY ROAD, ORFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3808 Rectory Road, Orford from The Gables to Wingalow to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Daphne Road, Church Street, Market Hill, Front Street, Ferry Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3808 Raydon Lane, Orford from the junction with Rectory Road to the junction with Bullockshed Lane to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bullockshed Lane, Ferry Road, Front Street, Market Hill, Church Street, Daphne Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 MAIN ROAD, DARSHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A12 Main Road, Darsham from the level crossing for 20 metres northbound and 20 metres southbound to facilitate rail inspection works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1387, the B1122 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11 pm on 02/11/2024 - 8.30am on 03/11/2024 but, if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Centurion Site Services. Tel: (01132) 775360.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 CHANCERY ROAD AND WEST END ROAD AND THE B1075 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads to facilitate control crowd movement during a football game.
- A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road
- A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 metres westbound
- B1075 Princes Street, Ipswich from Burrell Road to Civic Drive. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 02/11/2024 from 1 pm until 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Constabulary.
