NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which :
Footpath between Clare Close and Jubilee Close, Waterbeach (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1503
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath between Clare Close and Jubilee Close, Waterbeach as lies between Clare Close and Winfold Road.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 May 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 12 November to 18 November 2024.
Rampton Drift, Longstanton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1505
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Rampton Drift, Longstanton as lies between numbers 9 and 16. The alternative route for vehicles is via Rampton Drift – Rampton Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 29 November 2024.
Hills Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1506
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road, Cambridge as lies between Rathmore Road and Elsworth Place.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Hills Road On its west side from its junction with Long Road to a point 38 metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road. Hills Road On its east side from a point 57 metres north of its junction with Elsworth Place to a point 110 metres north of its junction with Queen Ediths Way is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 16 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 15 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
08:00hrs 16 November and 17:00hrs 17 November;
08:00hrs 23 November and 17:00hrs 24 November;
08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 30 November 2024.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1511
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cambridge Road, Little Abington as lies between number 53 and ‘Sawmill’.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A11 – A14 – A1302 – A143 – Sowley Green, Great Thurlow – Bury Road – B1061 – Withersfield Road – Rose Hill, Withersfield – Burton Hill – Thurlow Road – Turnpike Hill – Church Street – Hollow Hill – Horseheath Road – Silver Street – Withersfield Road, Horseheath – A1307 and vice versa The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 April 2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 November 2024 and 20 December 2024.
Footpath leading to Gladeside and Almond Grove (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1517
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath leading to Gladeside and Almond Grove as lies between numbers 10 and 25.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Limekiln Road, Cambridge as lies between the reservoir and Queen Ediths Way.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Limekiln Road – Cherry Hinton Road, Great Shelford – Queen Ediths Way and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and vice versa works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 4 November to 6 November 2024.
High Street, East Chesterton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1520
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, East Chesterton as lies between number 38 and Church Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street – Union Lane – Scotland Road – Green End Road – A1309 – A1134 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs 2 November and 17:00hrs 3 November; 08:00hrs 9 November and 1700hrs 10 November 2024.
New Park Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1534
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Park Street, Cambridge as lies between Portugal Street and St Johns Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Portugal Street – Park Parade – St Johns Road – New Park Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connections and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 8 November 2024.
Queen Ediths Way, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1536
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Queen Ediths Way, Cambridge as lies between numbers 47 and 71.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Queen Ediths Way – Cherry Hinton Road (C235) – A1134 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 29 November 2024 (1 night only).
Croydon Hill, Croydon (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1540
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Croydon Hill, Croydon as lies between Croydon Hill Farm and Covered Reservoir.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Main Street, Hatley – Hatley Road, Gamlingay – Station Road – Stocks Lane – Church Street (C179) – Church End – Long Lane – Fullers Hill, Little Gransden – B1046 – A1198 – Church Lane, Arrington – Croydon Road – High Street, Croydon and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 November and 8 November 2024.
Royston Road, Litlington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1552
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Royston Road, Litlington as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Silver Street – St Peters Hill – Meeting Lane – Bassingbourn Road – Brook Road, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth – High Street – The Causeway – A1198 – A505 or via A505 – A1198 – The Causeway, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth – High Street – Brook Road – Bassingbourn Road, Litlington – South Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 30 November and 2 December 2024.
Park Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1553
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Street, Cambridge as lies between Round Church Street and Portugal Place.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tower crane removal and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 November and 30 November 2024.
High Street, Fowlmere Road and Mortimers Lane, Foxton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1555
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Fowlmere Road and Mortimers Lane, Foxton as lies between St Laurence Road and Barons Lane.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Fowlmere Road – Green Lane, Fowlmere – Thriplow Road – B1368 – Long Lane – Shepreth Road – Shepreth Road, Shepreth – A10 – Shepreth Road, Foxton and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 15:30hrs 18 November to 29 November 2024.
Sidney Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) and (TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER) ORDER 2024-1556
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sidney Street, Cambridge as lies between St Andrews Street and Market Street.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 (Amendment No. 11) Order 1995, Schedule 6 – One Way Streets, Sidney Street (from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Jesus Lane) – From southeast to northwest is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hobson Street – King Street – Manor Street – Jesus Lane – St Johns Street – St Marys Street – Trinity Street – Market Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate crane operations and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22:00hrs 24 November and 06:00hrs 25 November 2024.
Royston Road (A505), Whittlesford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1557
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Royston Road (A505), Whittlesford as lies between Burma Road and Moorfield Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A505 – A10 – A1309 – A1301 – A505 and vice versa or via M11 – A10 – M11 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 16 November 2024.
Church Lane and Station Road, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)ORDER 2024-1559
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Lane and Station Road, Fulbourn as lies between 33 Church Lane and 13 Station Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 12 November to 18 November 2024.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 4 November to 8 November 2024.
St Catherines Road, Impington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1569
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Catherines Road, Impington as lies between Arbury Road and Crispin Close.

Brinkley Road, Little Wilbraham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1573
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Brinkley Road, Little Wilbraham as lies between Delamere Close and London Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole cover repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 November and 14 November 2024.
Rawlyn Close, Barnwell (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING/WAITING) ORDER 2024-1576
Is to stop any vehicle from parking/waiting along Rawlyn Close, Barnwell as lies between number 20 and Rawlyn Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of double yellow lines and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 September 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 November 2024 and 18 September 2026.
Rampton Road, Willingham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1577
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Rampton Road, Willingham as lies between numbers 166 and 170. The alternative route for vehicles is via Newington – Long Lane (C186) – Berrycroft – B1050 – A1307 – Dry Drayton Road, Oakington – Water Lane – Station Road –Oakington Road, Westwick – Oakington Road, Cottenham – Rampton Road – Church End, Rampton – The Green – High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 15 November 2024.
Brooks Road and Coldhams Lane, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS/CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1637
Will be to temporarily suspend the Bus/Cycle lane as lies between Coldhams Lane Roundabout to Sainsburys car park exit.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Brooks Road on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Brookfields to its junction with Coldhams Lane is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the Bus/Cycle lane and it will come into operation on 8 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 May 2026 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Brooks Road and Coldhams Lane, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8 November and 22 November 2024.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.
Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in
Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway improvements and associated works.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentionedin Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
