(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Prohibition of Loading) Order 202(–)

Details of the proposed changes
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1), to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to : a) prohibit any vehicle waiting at any time in lengths of Belvedere Close, Bolingbroke Way, Bullfinch Close, Titan Road and Taurus Road, Filton. b) restrict vehicles waiting between the hours of 8am and 6pm on any day, 4 hours with no return within 2 hours in lengths of Bolingbroke Way, Bullfinch Close, Titan Road and Taurus Road, Filton; and c) prohibit any vehicle waiting or loading at any time in lengths of Bolingbroke Way, Filton. Exemptions in the order permit any vehicle to wait for the purpose of boarding or alighting; loading or unloading goods subject to the provisions of c) above; delivering postal packets; maintenance of the road; supply of gas, water or electricity; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties; taking in petrol, oil, water or air from any garage; weddings or funerals and in accordance with the current provisions for vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to: a) prohibit vehicles waiting at any time in lengths of Fairlawn Avenue, Filton; and b) prohibit vehicles waiting at any time in the restricted parking zone, except in marked bays, in lengths of Atkinson Grove, Barnwell Crescent, Fedden Street, Fitzgerald Street, Frise Street, Mansell Street and Russell Mews, Filton. (Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has :- a) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding at a speed in excess of 40 miles per hour in the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) prohibited, temporarily, any motor vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this Notice from making a right turn into the road specified in relation to that road in column 2 of the said Schedule. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the temporary signalisation of a junction. The order became operative from 28 October 2024 for a period of at least 18 months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position.

(Gloucester Road North, Filton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) (Temporary Prohibition of Right and Left Turns) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended has made an order the effect of which has :- 
a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;

b) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this notice from making a right turn into the road specified in relation to that road in column 2 of the said Schedule; 

c) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 3 to this notice from making a left turn into the road specified in relation to that road in column 2 of the said Schedule; and

d) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle waiting at any time in the length of road specified in Schedule 4 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon retaining wall concrete repair works and A38 flyover expansion joint, maintenance and resurfacing works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 28 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 12 months duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has :- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. b) suspended, temporarily, when signs are covered, the County Council of Avon (Various Roads, Wickwar, District of Northavon) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (Prohibition of Vehicles of over 17 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order 1989 in in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the diversion route. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with speed table and pedestrian crossing construction and installation works. The order became operative from 28 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The measures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of B4465 Main Road which extends from Cattybrook Road westwards for 400m. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with pole testing works. The order became operative from 31 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. (Ayford Lane, Marshfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Ayford Lane which extends from a point 150m south of Ashwicke Road southwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with fibre overhead cabling works. The order became operative from 30 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route : Ashwicke Road, High Street, Chippenham Road, Gloucester Road, Leigh Lane, St Catherines Lane and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St Helens Drive which extends from St Annes Drive southwards for 75m. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with lead replacement works. The order became operative from 30 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Public Footpath and Cyclepath MOD Perimeter which extends from Filton Abbey Wood railway station entrance north eastwards to its entrance with the Abbey Wood Retail Park. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon footpath widening works. The order became operative from 28 October 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 months duration. Alternative route : Rail users : Footpath in the station, Emma-Chris Way footway, Station Road footway, Abbeywood Retail Park access footway and vice versa. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Guest Avenue which extends from Homeground north westwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason : in connection with sewer manhole cover repair works. The order became operative from 28 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Conygre Grove which extends from a point 45m north of Holmdale Road northwards for 35m. This order is required for the following reason : in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon manhole cover replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 20 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. (Temporary Closure of a Bus Lane) (Temporary Prohibition of Right Turns) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to :-
a) close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; 
b) prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this notice from making a right turn into the road specified in relation to that road in column 2 of the said Schedule. 
This order is required for the following reason : in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Arena ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 23 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 month duration. Please note that the law requires that any comments received on a planning application are made publicly available.In the event that an appeal is made against the decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made to the council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
