Bridgewater Viaduct & Deansgate, Deansgate Ward - Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC140477755: The City of Manchester (Bridgewater Viaduct & Deansgate, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Bridgewater Viaduct One Way from Chester Road to Deansgate & on Deansgate from Bridgewater Viaduct to Hewitt Street. (permitted direction of travel). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Whitworth Street West, Albion Street, Medlock Street, Mancunian Way, Princess Road, Chester Road & Deansgate, Hewitt Street joining onto Diversion. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order faciliate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 27th October 2024 only. The Order shall come into operation on 27th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
