What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
ASHES LANE, HADLOW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashes Lane, Hadlow, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Foxglove Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East, Cuckoo Lane, Higham Lane, Ashes Lane and vice versa.
BALTIC ROAD, TONBRIDGE, TN9 2JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Baltic Road, Tonbridge, on or after 13th November 2024 for up to 42 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of The Drive and Deakins Leas. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Deakin Leas, A2014 Pembury Road, The Drive and vice versa.
BLACKMANS LANE, HADLOW, TN11 0AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drain cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blackmans Lane, Hadlow, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A26 Tonbridge Road and Three Elm Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blackmans Lane, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, Blackmans Lane and vice versa.
COLDHARBOUR LANE, HILDENBOROUGH, TN11 9JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldharbour Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 26. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
ELMSHURST GARDENS, TONBRIDGE, TN10 3QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Elmshurst Gardens, Tonbridge, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between 51 and 55. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Elmshurst Gardens, Willow Lea and vice versa.
GARDEN ROAD, TONBRIDGE, TN9 1PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Garden Road, Tonbridge, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 47 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from 29 to the end of the cul-de-sac, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
OAKMEAD, TONBRIDGE, TN10 3NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakmead, Tonbridge, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between 1 and 15. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
OLD SOAR ROAD, PLAXTOL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drain cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Soar Road, Plaxtol, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Allens Lane and The Hurst. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Allens Lane, Brook Lane, Long Mill Lane, The Hurst and vice versa.
QUARRY HILL ROAD, BOROUGH GREEN, TN15 8RQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Quarry Hill Road, Borough Green, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from The Church of the Good Shepherd, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Borough Green Road, Dark Hill Road, Quarry Hill Road and vice versa.
ROCHESTER ROAD, WOULDHAM, ME1 3SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Wouldham, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Scarborough Lane to the junction of Downs View. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, New Court Road, Village Road, Peters Bridge Roundabout, Hall Road, Knowle Road, Rochester Road and vice versa.
WATERINGBURY ROAD, WEST MALLING, ME19 6JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wateringbury Road, West Malling, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 380. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, New Road, A20 London Road, A20 Ashton Way, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road, A228 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, The Street, Malling Road, Red Hill, Wateringbury Road and vice versa.
WOULDHAM ROAD & HIGH STREET, WOULDHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wouldham Road & High Street, Wouldham, on or after 17th November 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from All Saints Church to 209, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wouldham Road, Burham Road, Pilgrims Way, School Lane and vice versa.
