Wilmslow Road - Temporary Closure Of Bus Lane
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000140776511: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield Ward)(Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: Wilmslow Road Bus lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to repair defect in the bus lane. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 3rd November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 3rd November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC140752859: The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Albemarle Road, Copley Road, Hammett Road, Kensington Road, Marmion Drive, Peveril Crescent, Sark Road and Vicars Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 4th November 2024 to the 13th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 4th November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
