Giant Bradley Way - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(A1079 GIANT BRADLEY WAY,
MARKET WEIGHTON AND YORK ROAD,
SHIPTONTHORPE) (TEMPORARY
20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed at a speed exceeding 20
mph along the full length of A1079 Giant Bradley Way,
Market Weighton and part of York Road, Shiptonthorpe
from the existing 60 mph speed limit on Giant Bradley
Way and 30 mph on York Road from:
Monday 21 October 2024 until Friday 1 November
2024 between 22.00 hours until 06.00 hours.
The reason for the speed restriction is to enable the
proposed installation of road studs, to be carried out
and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed by 1 November 2024.
The Order will commence 21 October 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
