What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
B2040 SOUTH ROAD, FAVERSHAM, ME13 8QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2040 South Road, Faversham, from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 29th October 2024, between the hours of 20:00 and 04:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Stone Street and Napleton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, Preston Street, B2041 Station Road, Newton Road, B2040 Crescent Road, Court Street, Quay Lane, Conduit Street, North Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
DAYTON ROAD, SHELDWICH, ME13 0NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dayton Road, Sheldwich, from 12th November 2024, with estimated completion by 13th November 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 300m east of the junction with A251 Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lees Court Road, A251 Ashford Road, Dayton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SELLING STREET, SELLING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Selling Street, Selling, from 28th October 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Church Lane and Vicarage Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Selling Street, Hogbens Hill, Winding Hill, Newhouse Lane, A251 Ashford Road, A2 Canterbury Road, Selling Road, Clockhouse Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
STATION ROAD, TEYNHAM, ME9 9TF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024
To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Teynham, from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 10th November 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Belle Friday Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, A2 London Road, Hempstead Lane, Lower Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
TUNSTALL ROAD, TUNSTALL, ME10 1SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024
To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tunstall Road, Tunstall, from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 1st November 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hales Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Tunstall Road, Woodstock Road, Park Road, A2 West Street, A2 London Road, Borden Lane, Bannister Hill, Hearts Delight and Hearts Delight Road.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Hearts Delight Road, Hearts Delight, Bannister Hill, Borden Lane, A2 London Road, A2 St. Michaels Road, A2 Dover Street, A2 West Street, Park Road, Woodstock Road and Tunstall Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
VICTORY STREET, SHEERNESS, ME12 1RH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Victory Street, Sheerness, from 13th November 2024, with estimated completion by 15th November 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A250 Millenium Way and High Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
