Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
B2162 BENOVER ROAD, YALDING, ME18 6EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Applelynn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Benover Road and vice versa.
B2163 TESTON LANE, TESTON, ME18 5RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow bank reinforcement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Teston Lane, Teston, on or after 30th October 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A26 Tonbridge Road and Tutsham Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via B2163 Teston Lane, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Tovil Road, Old Tovil Road, A229 Hayle Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A229 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road.

FARLEIGH BRIDGE, EAST FARLEIGH, ME16 9NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, on or after 1st November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:30 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

HART STREET, MAIDSTONE, ME16 8EQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hart Street, Maidstone, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mcdonalds Car Park, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way order on Hart Street will be suspended to allow access
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barker Road, Hart Street and vice versa.
HEADCORN ROAD, STAPLEHURST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Staplehurst, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.
Headcorn Road will be restricted to 30mph for 20 metres in either direction at the junction of Great Threads. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
PILE FARM ROAD, STAPLEHURST, TN12 0GT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow bollard installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pile Farm Road, Staplehurst, on or after 18th November 2024 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Great Threads. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Couchman Green Lane, Headcorn Road, Great Threads, Pile Farm Road and vice versa.
PITT ROAD, KINGSWOOD, ME17 3NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pitt Road, Kingswood, on or after 29th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Oakdale. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pitt Road, Chartway Street, A274 Maidstone Road, B2163 Leeds Road, Ulcombe Road, Pitt Road and vice versa.
RAYNERS HILL, LENHAM, ME17 2ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow asset location works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rayners Hill, Lenham, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Harrow Inn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Waterditch Lane, Hubbards Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Rayners Hill and vice versa.
RIGSHILL ROAD, OTTERDEN, ME13 0JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rigshill Road, Otterden, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Norton Hall, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rigshill Road, Stalisfield Road, Gravel Hill, Rigshill Road and vice versa.
TESTON LANE, TESTON & WEST FARLEIGH, ME18 5BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow bridge repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teston Lane, Teston & West Farleigh, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 35 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20metres in either direction of Teston Lane Bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Teston Lane, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2015 Bow Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2163 Teston Lane and vice versa.
VICARAGE ROAD, YALDING, ME18 6FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vicarage Road, Yalding, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Pines. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vicarage Road, West Street, Hunton Hill, Upper Hunton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Yalding Hill and vice versa.
