Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

BOWESDEN LANE, SHORNE, DA12 3LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bowesden Lane, Shorne, on or after 29th October 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Crabblers.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

CLARENCE ROW, GRAVESEND, DA12 1HQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clarence Row, Gravesend, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of 73 Windmill Street.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

CLIVE ROAD, GRAVESEND. DA11 0AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the installation of a HV cable, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clive Road, Gravesend, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 1 night between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed next to the entrance to the car park.

The alternative route is via Clive Road, Railway Place, Windmill Street, Woodville Place, A226 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, A226 Darnley Road.

HERON HILL LANE, MEOPHAM DA13 0QL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heron Hill Lane, Meopham, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Railway Cottage.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

MITCHELL AVENUE, NORTHFLEET, DA11 8JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow a crane to lift a caravan to the rear of a property, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mitchell Avenue, Northfleet, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Waterdales to outside number 56.

The alternative route is via Mitchell Avenue, Colyer Road, Gwynn Road, Waterdales and vice versa.

SOUTH HILL ROAD, GRAVESEND. DA12 1LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Hill Road, Gravesend, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 54.

The alternative route is via South Hill Road, Shrubbery Road, Hillside Terrace and vice versa.

THONG LANE, SHORNE, DA12 4AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thong Lane, Shorne, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00 and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Thong Lodge.

The alternative route is via Darnley Lodge Lane, Halfpence Lane, Brewers Road, The Ridgeway, Pear Tree Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A226 Rochester Road, Thong Lane and vice versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.

A2 Marling Cross Interchange, Singlewell

Works starting 29th October 2024 for approximately 7 nights weekday nights, working hours between 20:00 and 05:00.

These works requires the west and eastbound entry/exits slip roads to be closed on the A2 Marling Cross Interchange. Kent County Council will also be required to close the below roads at the below mentioned locations.

Valley Drive – Closed between Marling Way and Hever Court Road.

Hever Court Road - Closed between Miskin Way and the eastbound A2 Marling Cross entry slip road.

Marling Cross Overbridge - Closed between Hever Court Road and Henhurst Road.

Henhurst Road – Closed between Church Road and westbound A2 Marling Cross entry slip road.

Alternative route for A2 Eastbound traffic requiring access to Valley Drive and Henhurst Road via: A2 Watling Street (Eastbound),Cobham Slip (Eastbound) Off, Brewers Road, Cobham Slip (Westbound) On, A2 Watling Street (Westbound) and on to the below diversion

Alternative route for A2 Westbound traffic requiring access to Valley Drive via:

A2 Watling Street (Westbound), A227 Wrotham Road (Northbound), B261 Old Road East, Valley Drive and vice versa.

Alternative Route for A2 Westbound traffic requiring access to Henhurst Road via: A2 Watling Street (Westbound), A227 Wrotham Road (Southbound), Green Lane, Camer Road, Sole Street, Jeskyns Road, Henhurst Road and vice versa.
