THE LEICESTER (WESTERN ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Western Road between its junctions with Braunstone Gate and with Paton Street from 7.00am on Sunday 3rd November 2024 until 3.00pm on Sunday 19th January 2025.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Braunstone Gate and with Ruding Road from 7.00am on Sunday 3rd November 2024 until 3.00pm on Friday 8th November 2024 and from 7.00am on Monday 6th January 2025 until 3.00pm on Sunday 19th January 2025.
Diversion route: Braunstone Gate, Narborough Road, Ruding Road.
Diversion route: Braunstone Gate, New Park Street, Narborough Road, Ruding Road.
Diversion route: Briton Street, Narborough Road, Braunstone Gate.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Roman Street and with Briton Street from 7.00am on Monday 11th November 2024 until 3.00pm on Friday 15th November 2024 and from 7.00am on Monday 9th December 2024 until 7.00am on Thursday 12th December 2024.
Diversion route: Briton Street, Narborough Road, Saxon Street.
Diversion route: Roman Street, Narborough Road, Gaul Street.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Wilberforce Road and with Gaul Street from 7.00am on Monday 18th November 2024 until 7.00am on Thursday 21st November 2024.
Diversion route: Wilberforce Road, Gaul Street.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Gaul Street and with Norman Street from 7.00am on Thursday 21st November 2024 until 7.00am on Monday 9th December 2024.
Diversion route: Gaul Street, Wilberforce Road, Paton Street.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Roman Street and with Saxon Street from 7.00am on Thursday 12th December 2024 until 3.00pm on Friday 13th December 2024.
Diversion route: Roman Street, Narborough Road, Saxon Street.
Diversion route: Celt Street, Narborough Road, Gaul Street.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Saxon Street and with Celt Street from 7.00am on Monday 16th December 2024 until 7.00am on Thursday 19th December 2024.
Diversion route: Celt Street, Narborough Road, Saxon Street.
Diversion route: Roman Street, Narborough Road, Ruding Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Western Road between its junctions with Celt Street and with Ruding Road from 7.00am on Thursday 19th December 2024 until 3.00pm on Friday 20th December 2024.
Diversion route: Braunstone Gate, Narborough Road, Saxon Street.
Diversion route: Celt Street, Narborough Road, Braunstone Gate.
The Order will come into effect on the 3 rd November 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
