TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD
ORDER 2024
On the 18 October 2024 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in the interests of safety due to works being executed on or near Clifton Road, Giffnock and the likelihood of danger to the public which is not attributable to such works.
The Order authorises the introduction of a temporary one-way system of operation which will restrict the direction of vehicular traffic travel to a north-easterly direction only, between the extended north-eastern kerbline of Orchard Grove and the extended south-western kerbline of Wellfield Avenue, when indicated by the display of appropriate signs in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
In addition a restriction prohibiting waiting at any time will be introduced on Clifton Road from the extended north-eastern kerbline of Orchard Grove north-eastwards to the extended north-eastern kerbline of Wellfield Avenue.
The restrictions will come into operation on 15 November 2024 and will remain in operation for a maximum period of 18 months if required, as permitted by legislation.
