Various Roads in Byfleet (20MPH Speed Limit) Order 202-

On 17 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above- named Order, under section 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011. A copy of this Notice together with a plan showing the lengths of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be viewed online at:- www.surreycc.gov.uk/ roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/roads- and-transport-consultations.

These documents and a copy of the sealed Order which will come into force on 28 October 2024, may also be viewed until six weeks from the date of the making of the Order, at:- 1) Byfleet Community Library, High Road, Byfleet, Surrey KT14 7QN – on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm, Thursday from 3pm to 5pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm, and at (2) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.
