St Michael's Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST MICHAELS ROAD, BILSBORROW, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of St Michaels Road, Bilsborrow from its junction with Hall Lane to outside the property "Manor Vale".
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0800 hours to 1700 hours on Tuesday 5th November 2024 until Monday 18th November 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Garstang Road - Garstang Bypass Road - The Avenue – Tarnacre Lane - Garstang Road – Blackpool Road – Hall Lane
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow works to build a new joint box to be carried out by Morrisons Telecoms on behalf of BT Openreach.
