Mafeking Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Mafeking Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.147) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 5th November 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
MAFEKING ROAD (EASTBOUND
From outside No. 99 to its junction with Winter Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical service works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 5th November 2024 to 18th November 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Saturday.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Mafeking Road, Haslemere Road, Pretoria Road, Winter Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
