What is happening?

Notice of intended appropriation and development of open space land

GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
Section 122 (2A) Local Government Act 1972
Section 233(4) Town and County Planning Act 1990 (Disposal of Open Spaces)

NOTICE OF INTENDED APPROPRIATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF OPEN SPACE
LAND AT WORCESTER CLOSE, ISTEAD RISE.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Gravesham Borough Council intends to appropriate for planning purposes a parcel of land which is for identi cation purposes described in the schedule to thismnotice. A plan showing the parcels of land as described in the schedule are available for inspection on the council’s website at www.gravesham.gov.uk.

If the land is appropriated, it is intended to develop it for:

8 homes for use as council houses for those in housing need on the land at Worcester Close, Istead Rise for which planning consent has been granted (Planning Decision ref 20230136).

This is a formal notice given insofar as the parcels of land consist or form part of an open space within the meaning of the above Sections, being any land used for the purposes of public recreation.

Any objections to the intended appropriation must be made in writing and addressed to Housing Development, Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1AU, or HSD@gravesham.gov.uk no later than 5pm of 7th November 2024, quoting reference Worcester Close.
