Sedgefield, Temporary Road & Footpath Closures For Fibre Telecom Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Eden Drive, Beacon Avenue, Public Footpath No 16, Wykes Close, Beaumont Court, The Orchard, Orchard Close, Sedgefield) (Temporary Road and Footpath Closure) Order 2024
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road and footpath:-
Road Closures 1. a 25m length of The Orchard outside No's 55 to 57 2. a 25m length of Beacon Avenue to the side of No. 22 Beaumont Court 3. a 20m length of Beacon Avenue outside No's 43 to 45 The Orchard 4. a 35m length between No's 10 to 13 Wykes Close.
Footpath closures 1. a 25m length of to the side of No. 22 Beaumont Court 2. a 37m length to the side of No's 41 to 37 Beacon Avenue 3. a 60m length to the eastern side of No's 19 to 21 Beaumont Court and northern side of No. 17 4. a 123m length to the southern side of No's
13 to 30 Beaumont Court and a 24m length to the side of No. 25 5. a 55m length between No's 37 to 42 Beaumont Court (northern side) 6. a 60m length to the eastern side of No's 4 to 9 Beaumont Court 7. a 60m length to the western side of No's 31 to 36 Beaumont Court 8. a 67m length between No's 54 to 60 Eden Drive (Footpath 16) 9. a 78m length between side No's 23 to 47 Eden ?rive 10. a 63m length between side No's 34 to 43 Eden Drive 11. a 36m length to the eastern side of No's 34 to 28 Eden Drive 12. a 36m length to the southern side of No's 23 to 27 Eden Drive 13. a 103m length to the northern side of No's 16 to 20 and eastern side of No's 20 to 22 Eden Drive (Footpath 16) 14. a 133m length of Footpath 16 to the northern side of No's 1 to 7 and eastern side of No's 7 to 10 Eden Drive 15. a 74m length of footpath linking No.6 Orchard Close to East End 16. a 53m length to the southern side of No's 9 to 14 Wykes Close to enable installation of new fibre telecom infrastructure works to be undertaken. Alternative routes, where available will be signed on site as required. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are required from 6/11/2024 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be around one month. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
