What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
FOUNTAIN ROAD (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-

Fountain Road from its junction with Wincolmlee to 20 metres west of its junction with Main Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway resurfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 18th November 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed nightly from 6pm to 6am commencing 18th November 2024 until 29th November 2024.

BANKSIDE (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along:-

Bankside, at the junction of Ferry Lane, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during building works to remove the old kiosk and the installation of a new kiosk.

The alternative route for pedestrians and vehicles will be signed on the days.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 13th November 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed nightly between 10pm and 6am commencing 13th November 2024 until 15th November 2024.

BAKER STREET (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along:-

Baker Street outside number 5, approximately 56m from Prospect Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to erect a structural steel frame using a mobile crane, which will be positioned in the carriageway.

The alternative route for pedestrians and vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 18th November 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 5.30pm commencing 18th November 2024 until 15th December 2024.

WELWYN PARK AVENUE (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Welwyn Park Avenue, adjacent to Number 19, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to install a road hump.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the day.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 28th October 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 5pm on 28th October 2024.

HIGH STREET (PART)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along High Street, from North Walls to Alfred Gelder Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the installation of new fibre and new ducts works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 4th November 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will take place over one week, to be arranged between, 4th November 2024 and 29th November 2024.

RIVERSDALE ROAD/SILVERDALE ROAD/STRATHMORE AVENUE (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone, on Riversdale Road, Silverdale Road and Strathmore Avenue. New road humps are proposed to be installed in these streets near the junctions with Beverley Road.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to reduce the speeds of vehicles in this residential area, where new traffic calming measures are to be installed.

A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY SERVICE, KINGSTON UPON HULL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that today the 21st October 2024, the  Kingston upon Hull City Council made an Order under Section 21 of  the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing  obstructions in the length of street in the City of Kingston upon Hull  hereinafter mentioned on the occasion of a Remembrance Sunday  Service, on 10th November 2024.

The Order:-

(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the  permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or  propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait  in or on the following between 6am to 1pm:-

Ferensway north and south bound, from Spencer Street to Anlaby  Road on the East Side of the carriageway, and from Lombard Street  to Anlaby Road on the West Side of the carriageway;

North Street, Brook Street, Mill Street, Cross Street, West Street,  Paragon Street from South Street to the Cenotaph. South Street  from West Street to Paragon Street;

Lombard Street to have closure for parade to disperse from  Ferensway junction to Portland Street for 15 minutes at  approximately 11.30am;  Carr Lane, the full length;  Anne Street, the full length;  Chariot Street, the full length;  Anlaby Road, full closure from Ferensway junction to Anne Street/  South Street.

This has been agreed by Humberside police as part of the Health  and Safety of the event and patrons coming out of the public houses  in the area.

(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in  uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a  vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said  hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police  constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and

(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the  said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any  police constable in uniform.

The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during a Remembrance Sunday Service.

The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.

The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.

A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.
