What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON CHURCH STREET AND NORFOLK ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths or roads ("the Roads") will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads, except for access:-
a) that length of Church Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Skidmore Way north westwards to its junction with Bury Lane, a distance of approximately 153m.
An alternative route will be via Church Street, A404 Riverside Drive, A412 (Rectory Road/ Park Road), High Street and Church Street
or via Church Street, Northway, Station Road, Homestead Road, A412 (Park Road/Rectory Road), A404 Riverside Drive and Church Street.
b) that length of Norfolk Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Church Street north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Waters Drive, a distance of approximately 156m.
An alternative route will be via Church Street, Skidmore Way and Waters Drive.
2. The existing one way traffic system on Norfolk Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Church Street north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Waters Drive will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GRANGE ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Grange Road, Bushey from its junction with A411 London Road northwards to its junction with Highfield Road, a distance of approximately 96m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A411 London Road, Vale Road, B462 Aldenham Road, The Avenue and Grange Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.2-116 MOOR LANE
AND MOOR LANE, MOOR PARK) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. the service road fronting Nos.2-116 Moor Lane, Moor Park from a point in line with the western boundary of No.88 Moor Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 98m.
An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.2-116 Moor Lane, A4145 Moor Lane and the service road fronting Nos.2-116 Moor Lane.
2. that length of Moor Lane, Moor Park from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.94 Moor Lane north eastwards to its junction with A4145 Moor Lane, a distance of approximately 32m.
An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.2-116 Moor Lane, A4145 Moor Lane and the service road fronting Nos.2-116 Moor Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WINTON DRIVE, CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Winton Drive, Croxley Green from its junction with A412 Watford Road north eastwards to its junction with Ascot Court, a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A412 Watford Road, Winton Approach and Winton Drive. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Garston Drive, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards to its junction with Garston Crescent, a distance of approximately 253m.
An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, Sheepcot Lane, Severn Way and Garston Crescent.
2. that length of Gwent Close, Watford from its junction with Garston Drive north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of The Pippins, Watford from its junction with Garston Drive south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Clitheroe Gardens, South Oxhey from its junction with Northwick Road north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 102m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. that length of The Watergate, Carpenders Park from its junction with By The Wood south eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. that length of Garden Road, Bulls Green from its junction with Breakspeare Road north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. that length of Halsey Road, Watford from its junction with Rosslyn Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 83m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of Albans View, Watford from its westernmost junction with Valley Rise north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 181m. An alternative route will be via Valley Rise.
9. that length of Kindersley Way, Abbots Langley from its junction with Abbots Road south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Gallows Hill Lane, a distance of approximately 776m.
An alternative route will be via Abbots Road, Gallows Hill and Gallows Hill Lane.
10. that length of Manor House Gardens, Abbots Langley from its junction with Kindersley Way north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
11. that length of Sycamore Close, Watford from its junction with Appletree Walk south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
12. that length of Norfolk Avenue, Watford from its junction with Balmoral Road north eastwards to its junction with Westfield Avenue, a distance of approximately 349m. An alternative route will be via Balmoral Road, Southfield Avenue and Balmoral Road.
13. the layby situated on the south west side of A404 London Road, Rickmansworth from its easternmost junction with A404 London Road south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A404 London Road.
14. that length of Mandeville Close, Watford from its junction with Nascot Wood south westwards and clockwise for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GOSFORTH LANE, HAYLING) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gosforth Lane, Hayling from a point 35m south west of its junction with Hamilton Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 80m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Gosforth Lane, Oxhey Drive, B4542 Prestwick Road, Hayling Road and Gosforth Lane
or via Gosforth Lane, Oxhey Drive, B4542 Prestwick Road, Hayling Road, Gosforth Lane and Blairhead Drive.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Greycaine Road, Watford from its junction with Garnett Close north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Greycaine Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Greycaine Road. The Order is needed because telecom works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Waterfields Way, Watford from its junction with A411 Dalton Way north eastwards to its junction with the Colne Valley Retail Park Access Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 299m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A411 Lower High Street, A4125 Eastbury Road, A4178 (Deacons Hill/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/ Cassio Road), A412 (Rickmansworth Road/St Albans Road) and A411 (Beechen Grove/ Waterfields Way)
or via A411 (Waterfields Way/Beechen Grove/Exchange Road), A4145 Vicarage Road, A4178 (Wiggenhall Road/Deacons Hill), A4125 Eastbury Road and A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via Station Approach, Chorleywood Bottom and Lower Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with A404 Rickmansworth Road north eastwards to its junction with Sarratt Lane, a distance of approximately 1438m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A404 (Rickmansworth Road/Chorleywood Road), A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill), The Green, Sarratt Road and Solesbridge Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUSHEY MILL LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bushey Mill Lane, Watford from a point 30m north west of its junction with Southfield Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Bushey Mill Lane, Park Avenue, B462 Hartspring Lane, A41 (North Western Avenue/Otterspool Way/North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road and Bushey Mill Lane or via Bushey Mill Lane, A412 St Albans Road, A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), B462 Hartspring Lane, Park Avenue and Bushey Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because level crossing maintenance works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
