Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and affect of the Order will be as follows City of Manchester (Various Roads in Ardwick)(Prohibitions of Waiting, Parking Places and Amendment) Phase 2 Order 2017 (Amendment) Order 2024.
No Waiting At Any Time on: Helmshore Walk - the north-east side from its junction with Mawson Road in a south-easterly and then south-westerly direction up to and including its cul-de-sac end. The west side from its junction with Mawson Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 9 metres. Mawson Road - the south side from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Helmshore Walk in an easterly direction to a point 19 metres east of its junction with Helmshore Walk. No Loading At Any Time on: Helmshore Walk - the north-east side from its junction with Mawson Road in a south-easterly and then south-westerly direction up to its cul-de-sac end. the west side from its junction with Mawson Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 9 metres.
Mawson Road - the south side from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Helmshore Walk in an easterly direction to a point 19 metres east of its junction with Helmshore Walk. Limited Waiting Parking Places, Waiting Limited to 3 Hours, No Return Within 1 Hour, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, exemption for Resident’s Parking Permit holders on:
Helmshore Walk - south-west from a point 9 metres south east of its junction with Mawson Road in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 25 metres. Residents Parking Permits - properties on the following streets unless otherwise stated who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for Parking Permits (Resident’s, Visitor’s, Business’, Business Visitor’s and Carer’s Permits) to wait in parking bays that are part of ‘the new Ardwick Scheme’ (further information regarding the permit parking scheme is obtainable on-line or from the Customer Service Centre): Helmshore Walk (All properties), Upper Brook Street - (99 - 125B).The Order will come into operation on the 22 October 2024. A copy of the Order together with the plans showing may be inspected at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Mon to Fri inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal addresses below.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 15 October 2024 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
