What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (POTTON ROAD, SANDY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Potton Road, Sandy between Swaden and outside the campsite.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 8 November 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B1042, A1, A6001, Dunton Lane, Saxon Drive, Baden Powell Way, B1040, B1042and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Chapel Road, Meppershall.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 8 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A507, Shefford Road, High Street, Rectory Road, Stondon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Northill Road, Northill outside Oak Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable various works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 15 November 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Bedford Road, Thorncote Road, Hitchin Road, A603, Willington Road, Northill Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of St Johns Street, Biggleswade outside number 25.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 23 October 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Potton Road, Drove Road (B1040), London Road (A6001), High Street (A6001), Shortmead Street (A6001), Sun Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 20 October 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B1042, B1040, A6001, A1, Bedford Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thorncote Road, Hatch; Thorncote Green, Hatch and Thorncote Road, Northill between Bedford Road and Brook End.

This temporary closure is required to enable vacuum pot maintenance work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 22 October 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Thorncote Road, Ickwell Road, Northill Road, Caldecote Road, Ickwell Road, Vinegar Hill, Brook End and Thorncote Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 25 October 2024.The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A600, A507, Shefford Road, High Street, Rectory Road, Shillington Road, Meppershall Road, Upton End Road, Marquis Hill, Stondon Road, Shillington Road, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
