NOTICE OF MODIFICATION
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BURNLEY, CHORLEY, FYLDE, HYNDBURN,
LANCASTER, PENDLE, PRESTON, RIBBLE VALLEY, ROSSENDALE,
SOUTH RIBBLE AND WEST LANCS) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS
PARKING RESTRICTIONS 23-24 NO2) ORDER 202

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council proposed to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Following consultation carried out between 16 July 2024 and 16 August 2024, it is now intended to modify the proposed Order as titled above, as set out below. For the avoidance of doubt, it is now proposed that the restrictions set out below will be deferred and that
in the future the council may consider:
a) Abandoning these proposals;
b) Deferring a decision on their introduction; or
c) To introduce the restrictions, either in whole or part.
Proposals to be deferred
Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
iii) Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, both side, from a point 253 metres north east of junction with Centreline of Greenbank Drive for a distance of 25 metres in a north easterly direction.
jjj) Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, the north west side, from a point 120 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Greenbank Drive for a distance of 56 metres in a north easterly direction.
kkk) Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, the south east side, from a point 167 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Greenbank Drive for a distance of 48 metres in a north easterly direction.
lll) Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, the south east side, from a point 123 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Greenbank Drive for a distance of 29 metres in a north easterly direction.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
