(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6529 Castle Terrace Woodhorn Road Back Lane Ashington from its point at the rear of house number 28A Castle Terrace heading east for a distance of 190 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 4th November 2024 until the 15th November 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 4th November 2024 until the 8th November 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th November 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Castle Terrace To Woodhorn Road Link, Castle Terrace, Alexandra Road and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to excavate to renew service to a resident’s property. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
