What is happening?

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION ORDER 06

Notice is hereby given that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, intends to make the above-named Order.
The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing new parking restrictions on the following roads in Blyth:
1) There will be a restricted parking zone on Bowes Street, Church Street and Wanley Street;
2) There will be a disabled persons’ parking place between the hours of 9am-6pm, 3 hours maximum stay, no return within 4 hours, on Bowes Street and Bridge Street;
3) There will be limited waiting parking places between the hours of 9am-6pm, 30 minutes maximum stay, no return within 1 hour, on Bowes Street and Wanley Street;
4) There will be limited waiting parking places between the hours of 8am-6pm, 30 minutes maximum stay, no return within 1 hour, on Bridge Street and Percy Street;
5) There will be a goods vehicles loading bay, 1-hour maximum stay, no return within 2 hours, on Bowes Street;
6) There will be a loading bay between the hours of 8am-6pm on Havelock Street;
7) There will be a taxi rank on Bridge Street between Havelock Street and Union Street;
8) There will be no waiting or loading at any time on Bondicar Terrace, Havelock Street, Post Office Street and Union Street;
9) There will be no waiting at any time on Bondicar Terrace, Bowes Street, Bridge Street, Havelock Street, High Street, Lynn Street, Percy Street, Post Office Street, Regent Street, Renwick Road, Stanley Street, U9513 Beaconsfield Stanley Back Lane, U9503 Bowes Street Back Lane, Union Street and Waterloo Road;
10) There will be no waiting between the hours of 9am-6pm on Regent Street and Wanley Street.
The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by revoking the following parking restrictions on the following roads in Blyth:
11) The limited waiting parking places applying Monday-Saturday between the hours of 9am-6pm, 2 hours maximum stay, no return within 1 hour, on Bridge Street and Bowes Street;
12) The no waiting at any time restrictions on Havelock Street, Bowes Street, Bridge Street, Stanley Street and Waterloo Road;
13) The no waiting restrictions between the hours of 9am-6pm on Church Street, Regent Street and Wanley Street;
14) The no waiting restrictions applying Monday-Saturday between the hours of 8am-6pm on Bowes Street;
15) The taxi rank outside Bridge House and Frameworks on Bridge Street.
