A473 Tonteg Road - Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn to Improve Road Safety During Works to the Upper Boat Substation.

DYMA HYSBYSIAD bod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Rhondda Cynon Taf wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan Adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, fel y’i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991, a fydd yn para deunaw mis ar y mwyaf.
Mae angen cyflwyno’r cyfyngiadau yma i wella diogelwch y ffyrdd tra bod gwaith yn cael ei gynnal ar Is-orsaf Glan-bad.
Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd: -

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(A473 TONTEG ROAD, TONTEG) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The restriction is necessary to improve road safety during works to the Upper Boat Substation.
The effect of the Order will be as follows: -
1. Temporarily prohibit any vehicle to turn right from the A473 Tonteg Road onto the Access Road to the Upper Boat Substation Alternative Route – via the A473 Tonteg Road, Gwaelod-y-Garth Road and the Upper Boat Interchange
2. Temporarily prohibit any vehicle to turn right from the Access Road to the Upper Boat Substation onto the A473 Tonteg Road Alternative Route – via the A473 Tonteg Road and Tonteg Roundabout The restrictions are expected to be in operation between 20th October 2024 to 30th April 2026 (18 months), or until such time as the works have been completed.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians, emergency services and to premises.
