Fownhope, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Works

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: B4224 From Fiddlers Green To The Moors, Fownhope, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4224 From Fiddlers Green To The Moors, Fownhope, from the junction of Hawkers Lane, then westawards for approximately 400 metres. Grid Ref: 358410/234180.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4224 onto the A438, onto the A4172, onto the A449, onto the B4224 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to drainage works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 28th of October 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 nights.
