Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Lower Dale Road, Derby 
WHEN : 11 November 2024 to 12 November 2024 (Daily: 08:00 to 17:30 Only) 
WHERE : Lower Dale Road, from its junction with Dale Road and Byron Street for a distance of approximately 20 metres in an easterly direction
REASON : Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE : Byron Street – St Chads Road – Mill Hill Lane – Normanton Road – Lower Dale Road and the same in the opposite direction AND Lower Dale Road – Pear Tree Road – Stanhope Street – Dale Road

Temporary Parking Bay Suspension Order On St Mary’s Gate, Derby
WHEN : 04 November 2024 to 18 November 2024
WHERE: St Marys’ Gate, adjacent to number 25 – a distance of approximately 9 metres
REASON : Electric works (National Grid) ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A

Temporary Road Closure Order On Markeaton Lane, Derby
WHEN : 04 November 2024 to 08 November 2024 
WHERE : Markeaton Lane, from its junction with Kedleston Road to its junction
with Mackworth Bridleway – a distance of approximately 300 metres
REASON : Bridge repairs
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE : Kedleston Road – Queensway – Markeaton Island – Ashbourne Road – Markeaton Lane and the same in the opposite direction

Temporary One Way Suspension Order On Meadow Road (Inbound) Derby
WHEN : 04 November 2024 to 27 December 2024 
WHERE : Meadow Road, on either side of access into Darwin Place Car Park – a distance of approximately 85 metres 
REASON : Gas works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE : Meadow Road – Exeter Street – Derwent Street – Nottingham Road – Stores Road – Mansfield Road – A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road – The Pentagon – Eastgate

(Derby Road) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.129) Order 2023

Derby City Council has made this Traffic Regulation Order on 17th October 2024, which comes into effect on 21st October 2024 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.

The purpose of the Order will be to introduce : 
No Waiting (At Any Time) :
• Derby Road outside number 176 to replace existing No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
• Derby Road opposite numbers 142 to 154
• Derby Road outside number 98 to replace existing No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
• Derby Road opposite number 98 to replace existing No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only) Revocation of No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
• Derby Road in layby opposite numbers 142 to 154 Copies of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the Acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Burton Road) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.139) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 , 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf:

These are modifications to the previously advertised proposal for this location : -
Proposed Modifications to No Waiting (At Any Time) restrictions on Burton Road from its junction with Vicarage Avenue to its junction with Whitaker Road : -

• Remove approximately 10m of No Waiting (At Any Time) and introduce a new unrestricted parking bay outside property Number 416
• Increase the extents of No Waiting (At Any Time) outside property Number 408 for an approximate distance of 2m
• Increase the extents of No Waiting (At Any Time) outside property Number 356 for an approximate distance of 2m
• Reduce the extents of No Waiting (At Any Time) outside Dean Court for an approximate distance of 7m
• Increase the extents of No Waiting (At Any Time) close to the junction of Whitaker Gardens for an approximate distance of 2m
• Increase the extents of No Waiting (At Any Time) close to the Number 357 for an approximate distance of 1m 

A copy of the proposed Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the proposals, a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing the Order and the Order being amended, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro Objections to the proposals stating your grounds of objection should be sent, in writing, to Traffic & Transportation, Communities and Place, Derby City Council, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than 8th November 2024.
