Order 2024
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the Order:
1. To introduce Resident Permit holder parking bays on the North and South kerb of East Street, Coggeshall between house numbers 39 to 59.
2. To amend The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 to allow the properties detailed in Column 2 of the table in the Schedule 1 to this Notice to be able to purchase permits for the proposed zones listed in Column 1 of that table.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL850 225 revision 1 replaced by TL850 225 revision 2.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 11.11.2024.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Shalford Green, Shalford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shalford Green, Shalford in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40m north east of its junction with Corkers Cut for a distance of approximately 90m in south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th November 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164668744 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Braintree Road, The Street, Wethersfield Road, Silver Street, Meadside, Finchingfield Road, Church Hill, The Green, Bardfield Road, Bridge End, Bridge Street, Crown Street, Brook Street, Bardfield Road, Hyde Lane, Victoria Hill and vice versa (with access only into Shalford Green, Church End).
The Order will come into effect on 24th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Vicarage Road, Finchingfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vicarage Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 55m south west of its junction with Kempe Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th November 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310760127 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Church Hill, The Green, Bardfield Road, Finchingfield Road, Bridge End, Bridge Street, Crown Street, Brook Street, Mill Road, Walthams Cross, Whinbush Farm Road, Daw Street and vice versa (with access only into Mill Street and Vicarage Road).
The Order will come into effect on 24th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Willows Road, Finchingfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willows Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Lombard Street for a distance of approximately 290m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th November 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA140RFSI1643786 - Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while blockage clearance and fibre optic testing works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
An alternative route is available via Cross Hill, Whinbush Farm Road, Daw Street, Mill Road, Wethersfield Road, Lombard Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Chadwick Drive, Braintree) (Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Loading' restriction, to all traffic in that length of Chadwick Drive, Braintree, in the District of Braintree from a point approximately 70m south west of the junction with Malyon Close for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The clearway is scheduled to continue from on 17th September 2024 for a further 284 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011859 - Tower Construction Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Tower Construction undertakes building works to enable emergency/larger vehicles to turn safely.
The Order came into effect on 17th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Clare Road, Braintree and Bocking) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clare Road, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 15m south west of its junction with Fernie Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310767612 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Francis Road, Rayne Road, Pierrefitte Way and vice versa (with access only into Clare Road).
The Order came into effect on 10th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Blue Mills Hill a distance of approximately 1525m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2367528 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully cover and frame replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Blue Mills Hill, Witham Road, The Street, Maypole Road, Kelvedon Road, Langford Road, Langford Road Roundabout, Langford Road, Maldon Road, Witham Road, Langford Road, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 10th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Shalford Road, Rayne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shalford Road, Rayne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Capel Road for a distance of approximately 1410m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2368745-EH2368749 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signing and lining works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Shalford Road, The Street, Dunmow Road, Blake End, Bardfield Road, Hyde Lane, Mounts Farm Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 10th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)
Order (No.6) 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Districts of Maldon/Braintree and City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

"The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 10th October 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Description: From the junction with Hoe Mill Road to the junction with Old London Road/London Road a distance of approximately 2300m.
Alternative Route: Rectory Road, The Street, Church Hill, Oak Farm Road, Old London Road and vice versa.
Road: Ulting Road, Hatfield Peverel, Crouchmans Farm Road/The Causeway, Ulting, The Causeway/Hoe Mill Road/Rectory Road/The Street/Church Road/Herbage Park Road/London Road/Old London Road, Woodham Walter & Old London Road/London Road, Chelmsford.
Description: From the junction with A414 Maldon Road to the junction with B1019 Maldon Road a distance of approximately 7179m.
Alternative Route: Maldon Road, The Street, London Road, Mowden Hall Lane, Worlds End, North Hill, The Ridge, Little Baddow Road, Maldon Road and vice versa.
Road: Old London Road, Woodham Walter/London Road, Maldon.
Description: From the junction with Herbage Park Road to the junction with Abbey Turning Lane a distance of approximately 3820m.
Alternative Route: Old London Road, Russell Green, Maldon Road, Oak Corner, Maldon Road, Wycke Hill, Spital Road, Spital Road Roundabout, Spital Road, West Square, High Street, West Square, London Road and vice versa.
