St Anns Road (D3002) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Anns Road (D3002) Chertsey (also known as “Hamperstone Bridge”) as extends from its junction with (D3002) Twynersh Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 45 metres. There is no applicable alternative route for vehicles. 
Alternative Route for pedestrians – Follow the Canal Path and across the unnamed footbridge to Twynersh Avenue then turn left along Twynersh Avenue. The Order is required to allow concrete repairs to the bridge structure, dewatering works and/or temporary damming of the watercourse and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday within the 18-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 28 October 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete once the works start. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which will be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Due to the nature and location of the works there will be no access through the works area and pedestrians will be required to follow the signed diversion route. 
No Sole Access will be affected by these works.

High Street (A307) and Claremont Lane (A244) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in (a) that length of the footway to the southern side of High Street (A307) Esher, adjacent to The Bear Hotel and Public House, that extends from the eastern side of its junction with (A244) Claremont Lane, north-eastwards for a distance of 15 metres; and (b) that length of the footway to the eastern side of Claremont Lane (A244) Esher, adjacent to The Bear Hotel and Public House, that extends from the eastern side of its junction with (A307) High Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 20 metres. Alternative Route – Use temporary pedestrian crossing on High Street from outside The Bear Hotel and Public House to cross to the other side of the road. Use the path which leads to another temporary pedestrian crossing on Claremont Lane at its northern Junction with High Street. Then walk Southbound on A244 Claremont Lane, crossing the road using the existing unmanned crossing. Then use the temporary pedestrian crossing on Claremont Lane to cross to the other side to meet end point of restriction by The Bear Hotel and Public House. This Order, which will commence on 28 October 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: traffic signal refurbishment works and/or any other associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 week between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the works area and all pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of, (a) Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham as extends from its junction with (A307) Portsmouth Road to its junction with (D6857) Fairacres in any direction other than north westwards; (b) Portsmouth Road (A307) Cobham northeast bound from turning left into (C157) Fairmile Lane; (c) Portsmouth Road (A307) Cobham southeast bound from turning right into (C157) Fairmile Lane; (d) Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham southbound lane from turning left into (D6857) Nightingale Close; (e) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Leigh Hill Road, (A245) Stoke Road, (A245) Mill Road, (A245) High Street, (A245) Between Streets and (A307) Portsmouth Road or this route in reverse. 
This Order is required to allow mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of SGN. 
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am and 5pm Saturdays, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibitions, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For part (a) The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. For parts (b, c, and d): Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Salt Box Road (C14) Worplesdon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Salt Box Road (C14) Worplesdon that is crossed under the bridge known as “Salt Box Road” (17/12) and for a distance of 20 metres either side; (b) Suspend “The County Council of Surrey (Stoughton and Bellfields Area, Guildford) (Prohibition of Heavy Goods Vehicles) Order 1989” insofar as it affects the length of road specified in this Notice. Alternative Route: Salt Box Road, (A320) Woking Road, Stoughton Road, (A322) Worplesdon Road, and Salt Box Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out utility works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Pitch Hill (C46) Ewhurst Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pitch Hill (C46) Ewhurst as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Downside” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Drury House”. Alternative Route: Pitch Hill, Lawbrook Lane, Walking Bottom, Ewhurst Road, Peaslake Road, and Pitch Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 
No sole access to affected by this closure.

Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 16 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford which extends from its junction with Goffs Road to its junction with Doris Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate road table surface reconstruction works and gully repairs, and/or any other associated works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 October 2024. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – Feltham Hill Road, Chertsey Road, Staines Road West, School Road, Feltham Hill Road and vice versa.

High Thicket Road (D120) Dockenfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Thicket Road (D120) Dockenfield as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Chase” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Abbotts Corner”. Alternative Route – High Thicket Road; Dockenfield Street; (A325) Farnham Road; and High Thicket Road. The Order is required to allow telegraph pole installation works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over two days between the hours of 9am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 14 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access for residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Braeside (D3072) New Haw Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Braeside (D3072) New Haw. Alternative Route – Scotland Bridge Road; Woodham Lane; and Kings Road. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Circet UK and/or BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Vicarage Road (B388) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Vicarage Road (B388) Egham as extends from its junction with (X7051) Vicarage Crescent to its junction with the access to “Melburne Park”. Alternative Route – High Street; (A30) Egham By-Pass; (A308) The Glanty/The Causeway; Thorpe Road; Thorpe Lea Road; New Wickham Lane; and Vicarage Road. The Order is required to allow Bridge and Structures inspection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Connect Plus Services and/or National Highways within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one night between the hours of 12.30am and 5am within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames that extends from the southern side of its junction with Sunbury Close, southward for a distance of 50m. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 
This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water/FM Conway to carry out water mains repair and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Terrace Road, Russel Road and Franklin Road.

C126 Lyne Lane, Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C126 Lyne Lane, Chertsey that extends from its junction with B389 Green Road, Thorpe, to its junction with C127 Lyne Crossing Road, Lyne. This Traffic Order is required to enable Jackson Civil Engineering to carry out joint investigations and/or replacement to the “Lyne Lane Bridge” and/or highway improvements and/or installations and/or surfacing and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5:30am, within 12 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Southbound – Green Road, Sandhills Lane, Trumps Green Road, Bridge Lane, Lyne Crossing Road. 
Northbound – Lyne Crossing Road, Bridge Lane, Trumps Green Road, Sandhills Lane and Green Road.

Fairview Drive (D6277) Shepperton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Fairview Drive (D6277) Shepperton. Alternative Route: (B376) Laleham Road, and Rosewood Drive, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new customer connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

D138 Rutton Hill Road, Bowlhead Green and D138 French Lane, Thursley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire lengths of D138 Rutton Hill Road, Bowlhead Green and D138 French Lane, Thursley. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works, pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to 
premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. 

Alternative Route 1 – D137 Park Lane, A286 Haslemere Road, A283 Cherry Tree Road, A3 Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Thursley Slip southbound (National Highways) and C30 Thursley Junction; Alternative Route 2 – C30 Thursley Junction, A3 Old Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Milford By Pass (National Highways), A283 Link Road, A283 Guildford Road, A283 Portsmouth Road, A283 Cherry Tree Road, A286 Haslemere Road and D137 Park Lane.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpath 403 (Salfords & Sidlow)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 03 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 403 (Salfords & Sidlow) which extends for about 215 metres in a north-easterly direction from a point located along the footbridge at Salfords Station (Grid ref: 528497 146345), to its junction with BOAT 401 (Salfords & Sidlow) (Grid ref: 528672 146418).

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to a planned railway bridge replacement. The closure will be in operation for a period of 16 weeks, from 14 October 2024 until 31 January 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

Access to platforms 1 and 2 will be maintained from the station main entrance on its western side.

The alternative route for traffic from the western end of the closure will be: from the start of the closure along the Salfords Station footbridge, head west along Public Footpath 403 (Salfords & Sidlow), then turn right into Southern Avenue and continue for about 225 metres in a north-westerly direction, then turn right and follow Honeycrock Lane in a generally easterly direction for about 225 metres, then turn right and follow BOAT 401 (Salfords & Sidlow) in a south-easterly direction for about 180 metres, until you reach the eastern end of Public Footpath 403 (Salfords & Sidlow).

The alternative route for traffic from the eastern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.

“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 403 (Salfords & Sidlow) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
