PUBLIC NOTICE 

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (WIGHTWICK BANK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Wightwick Bank in both directions between the access to Willow End property and the junctions of Wightwick Leys/Elmsdale. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 28 October 2024 until 19 January 2025. 

The diversion route is: Bridgnorth Road, The Holloway, Church Road, School Road, Mill Lane and vice versa. 

The Order is required to facilitate complex repairs to the Mathematical Bridge over Wightwick Bank by the National Trust.
