Wellington Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For A Surface Water Connection

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along WELLINGTON ROAD, from its junction with Leslie Road to its junction with Grosvenor Road.
The temporary Order is required to allow a surface water connection to be constructed in safety.
An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via Birchfield Road (A34), High Street (A34), New John Street West (A4540), Soho Hill (A41) and Hamstead Road.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 21st October 2024 and will remain in force for a period of 4 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
