What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERNARD STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bernard Street, St Albans from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.54 Bernard Street north eastwards to its junction with Grange Street, a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Bernard Street, A4147 Catherine Street, Dalton Street and Grange Street. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROWN STREET/6U1863
(UNNAMED ROAD), REDBOURN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crown Street/6U1863 (unnamed road), Redbourn from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.4A Crown Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Crown Street, Ver Road, Harpenden Lane, High Street, Waterend Lane and 6U1863 (unnamed road). The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF EATON ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make
an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length
of Eaton Road, St Albans from a point in line with the eastern
boundary of No.19 Easton Road westwards for a distance of
approximately 15m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Eaton Road, Salisbury Avenue,
Beaumont Avenue, Sandpit Lane, Woodstock Road North,
Woodstock Road South and Eaton Road.
The Order is needed because sewer main repair works are
proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 November 2024
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified
shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near
the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHITE HORSE LANE, LONDON COLNEY AND LONDON COLNEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.012 DURING THE 'LONDON COLNEY FIREWORKS DISPLAY') ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of White Horse Lane, London Colney from its junction with A414 North Orbital Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 1222m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road and High Street.
2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using London Colney Public Footpath No.012 from its junction with White Horse Lane south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 315m ("the Public Footpath").
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians during the event. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.
The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the 'London Colney Fireworks Display'. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A5183 HIGH STREET AND A5183 VERULAM ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of A5183 High Street, St Albans from its junction with A1081 Chequer Street north westwards to its junction with George Street, a distance of approximately 112m.
An alternative route will be via A1081 (Chequer Street/St Peters Street), A4147 (Catherine Street/Folly Lane) and A5183 (Folly Lane/ Verulam Road).
2. that length of A5183 Verulam Road, St Albans from its junction with Upper Dagnall Street south eastwards to its junction with George Street, a distance of approximately 132m.
An alternative route will be via A5183 (Verulam Road/Folly Lane),
A4147 (Folly Lane/ Catherine Street), A1081 (St Peters Street/
Chequer Street) and A5183 High Street.
The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October
2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions
specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on
or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COLDHARBOUR LANE, HARPENDEN) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coldharbour Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Westfield Road south eastwards to its junction with Lea Walk, a distance of approximately 201m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Westfield Road, B653 Lower Luton Road, B652 Station Road and Coldharbour Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOLLY LANE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Holly Lane, Harpenden from a point 43m north west of its junction with Wheathampstead Public Footpath No.031 north westwards for a distance of approximately 45m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Holly Lane, Sauncey Wood Lane, Common Lane and Holly Lane.
The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MORETON END LANE AND MORETON END CLOSE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Moreton End Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Moreton End Close north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via Moreton End Lane, A1081 Luton Road, Douglas Road, Moreton Avenue and Moreton End Lane.
2. that length of Moreton End Close, Harpenden from its junction with Moreton End Lane north westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing water main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOXCROFT AND RODNEY AVENUE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Foxcroft, St Albans from its junction with Rodney Avenue north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15 metres.
An alternative route will be via Rodney Avenue and Foxcroft or via Rodney Avenue, Aldwick, St Vincent Drive and Foxcroft.
2. that length of Rodney Avenue, St Albans from its junction with Foxcroft north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15 metres.
An alternative route will be via Foxcroft and Rodney Avenue. The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
