ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984:
SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
RISELEY ROAD, SHARNBROOK 24 - 075
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Riseley Road, Sharnbrook from Rushden Road for approx 200m.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate water mains renewal and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 28th October 2024 to 8th November 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Rushden Road, C26 Bletsoe From A6 Rushden Road Sharnbrook To Uc33 Mill Road Thurleigh, North End, Riseley Road, Bedford Road, Sharnbrook Road.
The reverse route applies.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 28th October 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian Water Tel: 08457 145 145.

SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 HIGH STREET, BEDFORD 2024 – 118
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency,
from proceeding along High Street, Bedford. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the Installation/removal of Christmas decorations and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 05:00 hours from 11th November 2024 to 12th November 2024 install 22:00 to 05:00 hour from 7th January 2025 to 8th January 2025 remove The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via St Peters Street, St Cuthberts Street, Castle Road, Newnham Road, The Embankment The reverse route applies The proposed Order will come into operation on 11th November 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO INTRODUCE SOME PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN CAUSE END ROAD, WOOTTON
Reason for Proposal:
Following a request from Wootton Parish Council, Bedford Borough Council proposes to introduce parking restrictions in Cause End Road, Wootton. The restrictions are required due to inconsiderate parking at its junction with Lorraine Road.
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road:
A Cause End Road, Wootton
(i) On both sides, extending from the projected boundary between nos. 33 and 35 Cause End Road for a distance of approx. 50 metres in a westerly direction.
B Lorraine Road, Wootton
(i) On both sides, extending from the junction with Cause End Road for a distance of approx. 20 metres in a northerly direction.
Relevant proposal documents may be examined during normal office hours at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP. They will also be available for viewing on the council’s website at www.bedford.gov.uk/proposedtro. The documents will be placed on deposit until 6 weeks after the Order is made or until it is decided not to continue with the proposal. BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO INTRODUCE NEW PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN HONEYSUCKLE WAY AND RIVERFIELD DRIVE, BEDFORD
Reason for Proposal:
Bedford Borough Council has received a request from Ward Councillors for new parking restrictions at the junction of Honeysuckle Way with Riverfield Drive, Bedford. This is in response to concerns raised over inconsiderate parking at this location which affects visibility and safety, so these restrictions are intended to remedy that.
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads:
A Honeysuckle Way, Bedford
(i) On its northern kerb, extending from the west side of Riverfield Drive for a distance of approx. 10 metres in a westerly direction.
(ii) On its southern kerb, extending from the west
side of Riverfield Drive for a distance of approx. 27.5 metres in a westerly direction.
B Riverfield Drive
(i) On its western kerb, extending from the centre of Honeysuckle Way for a distance of approx. 11 metres in both a northerly direction and southerly direction.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (CROSS END LANE (THURLEIGH: BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NO 49) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person driving any mechanically propelled vehicle other than motor cycle or horse drawn carriage along Thurleigh BOAT No 49 known as Cross End Lane which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0630 5877 to OS GR TL 0628 6009. This temporary closure is required to prevent damage to the surface of the lane during the winter. The closure will take place from Thursday 17th October 2024.
There is no alternative route vehicles while the closure is in operation.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 17th October 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the Byway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
