What is happening?

(NEWTOWN STREET, DUNS)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING)  ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Newtown Street, Duns) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 22 October 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 21:00 on 22 October 2024 – 24 hour restriction.  The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Newtown Street, Duns as follows:

From Newtown Street, Duns from Number 40 to Number 33 on both sides of the road, on Gourlays Wynd, Duns from Newtown Street to Number 8 Gourlays Wynd on both sides of the road and on Willis Wynd, Duns from Newtown Street to Number 8 Willis Wynd from 09:30 on 22 October 2024 to 21:00 on 22 October 2024.

(D56/5, RUMBLETONLAW, GREENLAW)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (D56/5, Rumbletonlaw, Greenlaw) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 21 October 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for Carriageway repair works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D56/5, Greenlaw.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the D56/5, A697, A6105 and D56/C to the point of closure, and for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(C96 HOMEBANK, BIRGHAM) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (C96 Homebank, Birgham)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 21 October 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 23 October 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C96 at Homebank, Birgham.

The alternative route for NorthEastbound traffic is via the A698, A697, and C96 to the point of closure, for SouthWestbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
