Great Ducie Street - Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic Footway Reconstruction Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:
ORDER NO. MCC140665648: The City of Manchester (Great Ducie Street, Cheetham Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Great Ducie Street One Way from of Francis Street to Great Ducie Street in that direction. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Waterloo Road, Elizabeth Street, Queens Road, Cheetham Hill Road, Trinity Way. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 21st October 2024 to 27th October 2024. The Order shall come into operation on 21st October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
