What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SALFORD ROAD, HULCOTE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Hulcote from just before the A421 slip road to the junction with Broughton Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway reconstruction work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 8 November 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30 pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Salford Road, A421, Newport Road, Countess Way, Fen Street, Salford Road, Broughton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(ICKWELL ROAD, UPPER CALDECOTE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ickwell Road, Upper Caldecote outside the Castlemore Site Development.

This temporary closure is required to enable foul water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 16 November 2024.
The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Hitchin Road, Hill Lane, Warden Road, Caldecote Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 2 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Oliver Street, Ampthill between number 167 and Arthur Street.

This temporary closure is required to enable zebra crossing installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 October to 4 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Abbey Lane, Poppy Drive, Flitwick Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 24 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of The Mount and Wood Lane, Aspley Guise.

This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing, surface dressing and lining work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 October to 01 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for the closure of Wood Lane, Aspley Guise is via Woodside. There is no alternative route for The Mount.

The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

Notice of Confirmation of Modification Order
Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Definitive Map and Statement for Central Bedfordshire as at
10 October 2014

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR BEDFORDSHIRE) (RIDGMONT: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. A15) MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

On 11 October 2024 the Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above-named Order without modification.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by deleting from them the following length of footpath:

The length of Footpath No. A15, Ridgmont to be deleted extends from its junction with Church Street at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9769 3610 in a generally northerly direction for approximately

82 metres across the obstructing housing development at Segenhoe Close and through the property known as The Old Police House to terminate at its junction with High Street at OS GR SP 9768 3618.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford. The Order comes into force on 11 October 2024 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 to the Act within 6 weeks from 17 October 2024 make an application to the High Court.
