What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL (MALVERN AVENUE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 16th October 2024 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to facilitate essential works on an electrical substation. The effect of the Order will be to:
a) Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Malvern Avenue between its junction with Threlfall Road to its junction with Westfield Road .
b) No left or right turn onto Malvern Avenue from the ungated road to the rear of 42-48 Threlfall Road.
c) No left or right turn onto Malvern Avenue from the gated alleyway to the rear of 64-62 Threlfall Road.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times.
Vehicular access will be maintained wherever possible.
All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 29th October 2024 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 1 day.
