Stoke Hill - Temporary Closure To Replace Temporary Reinstatement With Permanent

What is happening?

Parish of Stoke St Michael Temporary Closure of Stoke Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Stoke Hill - from 25 metres east of the junction with Frog Lane, eastwards for a total distance of 400 metres. This Order will enable Walton Civil Engineering Ltd on behalf of Wales & West Utilities to replace temporary reinstatement with permanent.
The Order becomes effective on 31st October 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 6th November 2024 and last until 6th November 2024 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 1 day.
